In late 2022, then-roommates Chelsea Brooks and Jakob Meuser discovered that the distance between their house off Olympic Blvd in Koreatown was exactly 13.1 miles away from the Santa Monica Pier—coincidently on the other end of Olympic Blvd. It was at this moment that the two friends knew what they had to do: challenge themselves to run an entirely untrained, self-imposed half marathon. With the help of their roommates, past and present, the inaugural 2023 Olympic Half Marathon was born. We continue the tradition today by challenging our NARPs to run 13.1 miles down Olympic Blvd, acompanied by our friendly pit crew at 4 stops along the way.
Starting Point: Corner of New Hampshire Ave and Olympic Blvd
Finishing Point: 200 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA
